GET ENOUGH SLEEP AND GET UP EARLY!

Each day requires a lot of your energy to conquer all the tasks that need to be done. Recharge your mind and your body by having a decent amount of sleep and rise early. Do not even think of snoozing that alarm! Mornings tend to be the perfect time to get the hardest tasks done. So get up, show up, hustle!

HAVE A CLUTTER-FREE WORKING TABLE

A cluttered workspace delays your progress. A distraction-free space helps you maximize not only your productivity but your efficiency as well. So what objects should you have on your desk? Always have a pen and a notebook or any paper by your side. Bring in some greens, too! Brighten up your workspace with a desk plant to also refresh your eyes when it’s getting too tired from looking at the screen. Make it a habit to keep your work area tidy and put a trash bin below your table.

ONE TASK AT A TIME

Prioritize important tasks first. As suggested by HR Guru, Robin Sharma, commit the 90 minutes of your day to the most important task at hand for 90 days. This is also known as the 90-90-1 rule. This is said to help you focus on your priorities before the day gets even busier. A common dilemma millennials face is the art of multi-tasking. Let’s be honest. Multi-tasking makes you LESS productive. Often times we tend to lose focus and do things all at once resulting to not really getting anything done at all. Start the day by listing down all the tasks and arranging them from most to least significant.

TAKE BREAKS

When everything else tends to become overwhelming, remember that it’s not a crime to take a rest. Squeezing in mini-breaks can make you a lot more energized. There’s a study that working for 50 minutes followed by a 15-20 minute break is best in maintaining your productivity throughout the day. Learn how to listen to your body. Don’t skip meals even when you’re buried with work. Staying energized is your job, too!

TURN THOSE PHONE NOTIFICATIONS OFF

It’s sooo easy to be distracted in the digital age. We’ve somehow created a habit of unconsciously checking our phones way more than we should. In order to avoid distractions, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, phone message notifications have got to go! Picking up your phone from time to time ruins the momentum and loses your focus. We advise setting a specific time to go over all of it or maybe just during break times.
